Part II: McCay Bowdoin on Helping Construction Clients with Tech and New Materials Exposures

In a recent article published by Independent Agent, McCay Bowdoin, practice leader for the Construction & Homebuilders Program at Oakbridge Insurance, offers tips for agents assisting contractors and subcontractors considering the adoption of new technologies or the use of alternative building materials to contend with labor and supply shortages.  

Bowdoin said agents should do more than just place insurance: “Agents can be a partner with their clients,” he said. “Insurance premiums are some of the largest expenses a construction company has, so clients need to rely on their agent for risk management best practices and long-term planning to reduce costs as much as possible.”
