Oakbridge Insurance is proud to announce that Principal Josh Cavallin has been named a Risk & Insurance 2025 Power Broker. This prestigious distinction underscores Josh’s exceptional ability to deliver innovative, tailored risk management solutions to clients across multiple industries, solidifying his reputation as one of the most accomplished professionals in the insurance sector.
With deep expertise in the hospitality and manufacturing industries, Josh has demonstrated an unparalleled ability to assess complex risk environments, identify exposure points and implement strategic solutions that drive measurable results. His proactive, client-focused approach sets him apart as a trusted adviser who consistently delivers value.
Josh recently partnered with a client in the hospitality sector that owned 28 hotel properties across Georgia and South Carolina. The client faced escalating insurance costs and unresolved claims, including high-risk exposures such as sexual abuse and molestation (SAM) and wind and hail damage. Josh’s team took a detailed, solution-driven approach by dismantling the client’s master policy and securing individual property coverage with standard carriers. This initiative resulted in over $500,000 in premium savings across multiple lines of coverage, including property and casualty, workers’ compensation, cyber, employment practices liability, excess liability and auto. Additionally, Josh’s team was able to resolve 30-40 outstanding claims, mitigating long-term risk and improving the client’s claims history. This comprehensive approach strengthened carrier relationships, resulting in more favorable terms and pricing for the client.
In another recent engagement, Josh worked with a machining company that had experienced recurring workers’ compensation claims, particularly related to eye safety incidents. Between 2020 and 2024, the company’s workers’ compensation modifier rate increased significantly, leading to higher premium costs. Josh conducted a comprehensive review of the company’s employee safety training program, identifying gaps and recommending a series of improvements, including recurring safety training, enhanced workstation signage, higher deductibles and more frequent equipment inspections. As part of the strategy, Oakbridge also secured a new workers’ compensation carrier, ensuring the client had access to more favorable terms. This holistic risk management plan is poised to lower the client’s modifier rate in the near future, driving down premiums and improving overall safety performance.
Josh’s client service philosophy is rooted in a commitment to excellence and responsiveness. He believes that the key to long-term success in the insurance industry is cultivating trust through proactive, high-touch engagement with clients. By delivering exceptional service and leveraging his industry knowledge, Josh has developed strong, lasting relationships built on transparency and mutual respect. He understands that mid-market clients in particular often struggle to receive the level of personalized attention they need from larger insurance providers – and this is where Oakbridge excels.
Josh’s industry experience spans both the manufacturing and hospitality sectors, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the unique risk challenges faced by businesses in these industries. He consistently invests in his professional development, staying informed of market trends and regulatory changes. As a contributor to multiple industry publications, Josh’s insights are highly regarded within the risk and insurance community. His client-focused approach, combined with his deep knowledge of the sectors he serves, allows him to develop creative, effective solutions to complex risk management challenges.
At Oakbridge Insurance, we value the cross-pollination of ideas and best practices across industries. This collaborative environment enables our team to develop cutting-edge risk solutions that address the diverse needs of our clients. Josh exemplifies the success of this culture, and his recognition as a Risk & Insurance 2025 Power Broker reflects his leadership, expertise and unwavering commitment to delivering results for Oakbridge’s clients.
We congratulate Josh on this well-deserved recognition and look forward to his continued contributions to the success of our clients and the broader insurance industry.
